Amybeth McNulty, an Irish-Canadian actor. She was best-known for her role in the role of Anne Shirley in CBC/Netflix's drama series Anne with an E. It is based upon Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel of 1908 Anne of Green Gables. Amybeth McNulty grew up in Milford County Donegal Ireland. Her father is Irish as is her mother Canadian. Amybeth McNulty plays Anne, an orphaned 13-year old who endures a childhood of abuse in the orphanages and houses. Anne was wrongly enrolled in the home of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, who lived on Prince Edward Island. As the series ends, it is 1919 and they are content; Gilbert is 55 and remains deeply attracted to Anne from Green Gables.
