Her next step was to enroll at California State University, where she completed her Bachelor's in business marketing. It also conferred her with an B.SC. for Psychology. She moved straight towards North Hollywood after graduating and was employed as a behaviourist for children with autism. After that, in February 2013, she fought her first match on the show SmackDown. Seit then, she has appeared in SmackDown Main event as well as other WWE events. The group was formed by Total Divas in September 2013, after the tag-team 7-on-7 battle with True Divas. Mendes defeated her from the competition. In February 2014, she won her first important win at her Elimination Chamber Episode where she defeated AJ Lee to become Divas Champion. She fought Lee once more in the same episode and lost her title. Then, Ariana faced Lee for the Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational title. It was the same title claimed by Lee. Her team included Naomi Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae and Summer Rae in July 2014 for a match against Nikki Bella against a handicap six-on one match. The reality star only appeared on the scene for an attack of Nikki and Naomi. Then, she was offered her own match against Naomi in the Battleground show's pre-show. Ariana beat Naomi during the contest. In the end, their rivalry started. They engaged in several tag-teams as well as handicap matches over the summer.
